FibeRio Technology Corporations is transforming the materials market through the unlimited availability of nanofibers. By incorporating the proprietary Forcespinning™ technology into equipment and manufacturing processes, the company is:
- Providing researchers with versatile production capabilities that will facilitate ground breaking research.
- Providing the nonwovens industry with dramatically increased system level production capacities that will escalate the commercialization of nanofiber applications.
The application of nanofiber technology to commercial products is due to the growing awareness that nanofibers enhance the performance of products ranging from filtration to textiles, from tissue engineering to drug delivery, from energy to cosmetics, with more potential applications being researched in laboratories around the world. As these technologies transition from research to commercial applications, their success is critically dependent on the availability of low?cost development and volume fabrication of nanofibers for the cost effective delivery of commercial products.”
FibeRio Technology Corporation was formed to develop and supply proprietary equipment for the fabrication of nanofibers. The equipment offerings are expected to rapidly gain wide acceptance because the proprietary Forcespinning™ method of creating nanofibers allows unprecedented versatility and flexibility, with the potential to create unique nanofiber materials that cannot be produced using other processing methods. The automated production models will be coveted for their system level production cost reductions, production line integration, inherent safety advantages and the ability to control the manufacturing process.
The Company currently sells research and development scale equipment, consumable parts and service to universities and companies to gain broad acceptance of the technology and to enable the development of unique nanofibers utilizing the Company’s proprietary method. Fully automated industrial scale equipment offerings are being developed to satisfy commercial demands.
As part of FibeRio’s marketing and business development efforts, a Forcespinning applications lab is being created. This lab will demonstrate the viability of the technology to potential customers and generates revenue from the production of material samples. If any unique materials are developed by the Company, an opportunity to license or produce materials may emerge.
Through a licensing agreement with The University of Texas ? Pan American, the Company has worldwide exclusive rights to manufacture equipment developed by researchers at the university, exclusive rights to the method of creating nanofibers, and first right of refusal to new nanofibers developed by researchers at the University.
